Saw action in 29 total games including 26 in the pitching circle throwing 47.0 total innings and picking up NSU's only save of the season...Made collegiate debut in the circle with an inning of relief work at South Alabama (Feb. 8)...threw the final 3.0 innings of the Demons’ comeback victory over Alabama State limiting the Hornets to just one hit over three scoreless frames to earn her first collegiate victory...made her first career start as the DP against Southeastern (March 22) drawing a walk in her first at-bat of the game...earned her first career save by tossing the final 2.2 innings at East Texas A&M, allowing just one run and one hit with a pair of strikeouts...got her first career hit on a bases loaded single against ULM (April 2)...threw a season high 6.0 innings at UIW (April 8) allowing three runs over the final five innings of the game.

High School
Two-time first-team all-district player at Whitehouse HS…two-way player that helped her team win the district title as a junior and reach the playoffs in all four of her prep years…she was named district newcomer of the year following her freshman season, earned pitcher of the year as a junior and overall district MVP as a senior…in her junior season McDonald went a perfect 16-0 in the circle for the Wildcats with a 2.40 ERA and 113 strikeouts while allowing just 29 walks while also hitting .424 at the plate with seven home runs and 42 RBI…McDonald had a career batting average above .300 with more than 300 innings pitched…earned academic all-state honors following her senior season...she is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and will be an honor's graduate.

Daughter of Amy and Charles McDonald…has one sister…plans to major in accounting or business and potentially attend law school.
