He staged one of the most dramatic comebacks in demon basketball history ... after returning last season from a leg injury that caused him to sit out the entire 1978-79 campaign, he returned in top form ... started every game last season and led the team in scoring with a 13.0 average per game and rebounding while pulling down 6.8 caroms a contest ... shot a blazing .564 from the field to lead the team and slapped back 20 shots ... figures to be one of the key factors in the Demon success this season ... stated every game since hitting the Demon campus ... had a high game of 21 points twice last season  ... averaged 12.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game in 1977-78, ranking him 12th in the nation in rebounding among Division I schools ... second on squad in rebounding in 1976-77 season as a freshman with a 9.2 average in addition to scoring 7.4 points per game ... "Outstanding Player" in the state in Class AAA  after his senior year at Peabody high in Alexandria in leading the warhorses to the state finals twice ... scored 22.4 points an outing and grabbed 16.7 rebounds a game his senior season ... two-time all-state selection and all-district choice in district 3-AAA ...health and P.E. major.
