2021 Season (Senior): Ace finished her career as the single-season (12) and career shutouts (28) leader … Posted 12 shutouts, which was second nationally, as she started all 20 matches for the SLC Champion Lady Demons … SLC Goalkeeper of the Year, SLC Student-Athlete of the Year and All-Louisiana GK … earned the SLC Tournament MVP by pitching two shutouts vs. SLU and UIW with 12 combined saves … her .865 GAA ranked 29th nationally and save percentage of .833 ranked 34th … career-high 90 saves … allowed just four goals in 14 SLC matches, including shutouts vs. SLU (3), Nicholls (2), UIW (3), AMCC (2) and HBU … also shut out Louisiana Tech with seven saves … made season-high 10 saves vs. Prairie View with another nine against Arkansas in the NCAA Tournament … allowed nine goals in the first four matches with just four goals allowed in the next 15 matches before the NCAA Tournament ... other career rankings -- owns the top two single season GAA's (0.41 in 2020 and 0.87 in 2021), second in career GAA (0.88), owns best conference single-season GAA (0.28 in 2021) and conference career GAA (0.38), 168 career saves sits eighth.
2020 Season (Junior): Garnered Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and First-Team All-Conference honors … All-Louisiana Goalkeeper … Southland Conference All-Academic … also reeled in Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honors in three consecutive weeks … played every minute of every game in net, boasting a 9-3-2 record … set multiple of school single-season records … her nine shutouts were the most in a single season in program history, and her shutout percentage of .643 was 15th best in nation … a pair of those shutouts were double-overtime shutouts … Aydogmus’ six-match shutout streak is a program best (ULM, Sam Houston, HBU, Nicholls, SLU and TAMU-CC)… her single-season GAA of .41 is also an NSU best, while it ranked 13th in the country … she yielded only six goals all season, which was best in the Southland Conference … recorded a total of 39 saves with a save percentage of .867 … registered a season-high five saves in a double-overtime game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Lamar.
2019 Season (Sophomore): Played in 14 contests, starting 13...compiled a 7-5 record in her first year at NSU...fifth in school history with six shutouts in a season...recorded two shutouts in the conference tournament, against Sam Houston State and McNeese...for her efforts, she was named to the All-Tournament team...also had shutouts in 1-0 wins against Texas State, Stephen F. Austin and Southeastern Louisiana...also shut out Nicholls...stopped a season-high seven shots in the opener at North Texas...also registered six saves each against Baylor on Aug. 25 and Lamar Sept. 27...made five saves in the overtime conference tournament semifinal win against McNeese...allowed just one goal in the regular season against a Lamar offense that had scored 13 goals the previous three contests...made 36 saves and had a 67 percent save rate in 1123 minutes
Before NSU:
Played freshman season at Troy, where she was the primary goalkeeper…appeared and started 15 games for the Trojans…recorded five shutouts…made 68 saves in more than 1,300 minutes…had a goals against average of 2.19.
High School/Club:
Set the single-season school shutout record with 18 as a senior, when she led Mariner HS to a 14-1-5 record and won the district title, after tying the record with 17 as a junior…was an All-State selection as both a junior and senior, being named team MVP as well…had a .22 goals against average as a junior and .45 as a senior…named all-district all four seasons of high school…Rotary scholarship recipient…member of the National Honor Society
Personal:
Daughter of Monica and Muslim Aydogmus…has three brothers, Kaya, Halil and Berk Aydogmus…health and exercise science major who wants to become an occupational therapist and doctor … also has a desire to be the goalkeeper coach and head director of the Cape Coral Soccer Association and eventually to start her own goalkeeping academy ... nickname is Ace.
