Coach Graf on Brette: "Brette is that player who nobody wants to play in horse. She spends hours in the gym shooting and it is definitely what she does best. Brette is a hard nose player who you know will bring her intensity and drive to everyday of practice. She understands her strengths and weaknesses and continues to improve in both areas.

Sophomore (2006-07): Played in 26 games posting 2.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game... grabbed a career-high eight rebounds against Jackson State on Nov. 10... sank a career-best 16 points at Eastern Washington on Dec. 15... had 7 rebounds against Centenary (Nov. 18) and swatted three shots at Eastern Washington... made 47 percent (31-66) of her field goals for the season and was 10 for 13 (.769) from the free throw line... averaged 11.2 minutes per contest.

Freshman (2005-06): Saw action in five games playing a total of nine minutes... pulled down three rebounds... did not attempt a shot.

High School: Lettered four years in basketball and cross country and one year in soccer...Kanto Plain Championship and 4th place for Far East Championship her freshman year...All-District second team her sophomore season...District runner-up and honorable mention her junior year...District champs (27-6)... Third in State... All-District second-team her senior season... Member of FCA and Students against Destructive Decisions...Earned Distinguished Service Award and graduated with honors.

Personal: Born Brette Elizabeth Funderburk on December 2, 1986...daughter of Cynthia and Gregory Funderbruk... Has three brothers: Michael (21), Brian (18), and Christopher (15), and one sister, Kelly Ni (3)... mother Cynthia was an All-American swimmer...Father Gregory is a highly decorated soldier for the U.S. Army...Brette got married in June, 2005 to Eric Gertonson who is majoring in computer information systems.
