2007 Season: All-Louisiana and SLC All-Academic team... participated in his third straight NCAA regional where he placed ninth in the javelin with a throw of 202-1... qualified to the event after throwing a personal best 209-06 at the SLC Outdoor Championships where he finished fourth... threw 209-02 at the LSU Relays (3/24) finishing sixth... second at the NSU Relays (3/7) with a 205-04... took seventh at the Texas Relays (4/6) after a throw of 204-08.
2006 Season: Runner up in javelin at Dogwood Invitational... Finished fourth in javelin at Ty Terrell Relays... Placed fifth in javelin at Ole Miss Dual Meets... Took seventh in javelin at Louisiana Classics and at SLC Outdoor Championships where he posted a personal best of 203-05... Finished eighth in javelin at LSU Alumni Gold... Took 10th in javelin at UTA Bobby Lane Invitational... Male Academic Athlete of the Year.
2005 Season: Had the 11th best javelin throw in the Southland Conference when he tossed 198-10 at the Dogwood Invitational (SFA) on Apr. 14.
High School: Lettered in soccer 4 years, baseball 2 years, football 3 years, and track and field 1 year... earned all district honor in javelin (finishing 4th in state)...soccer (1st team midfielder)...and football (1st team kicker)... helped reach football playoffs sophomore, junior, and senior seasons.
Personal: Son of William and Ken Norton... both parents are occupational therapists... has one sister, Brooke (17), and one brother, Josh (15)... majoring in computer information systems... is a member of the Blue Key Honor Society and is a Presidential Ambassador.
