Wears No. 5 in tribute to Demon great Charles "Red" Thomas, whose family granted permission for Logan to don the retired numbers as well as being the fifth McConathy to play at NSU 

In 2009-10:

  • played in all 29 games, averaging 11 minutes and 1.5 points
  • sustained torn ligament in wrist before midseason, but continued to play, waiting until postseason to have surgery
  • hit 81% of 16 FTs
  • season-high 7 points twice in conference play, at Nicholls in opener, vs. Sam Houston State in penultimate game
  • season-best 4 assists at Nicholls, leading the team as older brother Michael made career-best 6 steals in his senior year

In 2008-09:

  • played in all 31 games, starting once
  • led Demons in assists 7 times
  • season and career-best 8 assists in win 11/18 over East Texas Baptist
  • 7 assists in win on 11/28 in LSU tournament over Alcorn State
  • season-high 8 points vs. Lamar on 2/21

In High School:

  • All-State Class A, second team, as a senior, when he was also the district MVP, All-Cenla (Alexandria Town Talk), All-Area (Shreveport Times) for coach Todd Matney and former Demon Kerwin Forges
  • led Tigers to 25-8 record, No. 5 state ranking, best win total in school history in 2006-07
  • state runner-up in tennis (doubles), also a member of a district champion track team
  • also second-team All-State, All-Cenla, All-Area and All-District 3-1A as a junior, when Tigers were 21-12 and No. 8 ranked in the state
  • honorable mention All-State as a sophomore, also All-Cenla and all-district, for a 23-10 team that was ranked as high as No. 2 in the state
  • Academic All-State with a 3.97 grade point average
  • Wendy’s High School Heisman state finalist

  • son of Mike and Connie McConathy, with an older brother, Michael. Dad is the Demons’ head coach and Michael graduated after being on the team for 5 years. Connie is director of the Bossier Parish Community College campus at NSU.
  • full name is John Logan McConathy, nickname is “Lou-lo”
  • majoring in journalism with hopes of becoming a sports broadcaster; attending NSU on an academic scholarship
  • traveled to Romania on a church mission trip in summer 2007 and 2008
