2014 Southland Conference Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll
 
2014 Outdoor Season: Competed in the 110 meter hurdles, 400 meter hurdles, 4x100 meter relay, and the 4x400 meter relay during the outdoor season.  Had two 1st place finishes and fifteen top-ten performances during the outdoor season.  In the 4x100 meter relay he finished with a time of 41.11 and placed 1^st at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational.  In the 110 Meter Hurdles he finished 1^st at the McNeese State Cowboy Relays.  Competed at the SLC Outdoor Championships placing in the 110 Meter Hurdles and the 4x400 Meter Relay.
 
2014 Indoor Season: Competed in the 60 meter dash, 60 meter hurdles, 400 meter dash, and the 4x400 meter relay during the indoor season.  Had his best performances in the 60 meter hurdles finishing in the top-ten at all seven of the track meets.  His top performance was at the Texas AUM 12 Team Invitational with a time of 8.31 finishing 3^rd in the 60 meter hurdles.  Placed 4^th two times at the Southland Conference Championships in the 60 meter hurdles.
 
2013 Outdoor Season: Placed seventh in the 110m hurdles at the SLC Championships with a time of 14.92… ran a season-best 110m hurdles time of 14.89 in the prelims at the SLC Championships… finished 13^th in the prelims of the 400m hurdles at the SLC Championships in a season-best 56.39.  
 
2013 Indoor Season: Recorded a personal-best 60m hurdles time of 8.31 at the LSU Twilight Indoor, placing second… finished eighth in the 60m hurdles at the SLC Championships with a time of 8.70. 
Southland conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week (2/18/13)

2012 Outdoor Season: Competed in the 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles and 4x400 relay… finished 13^th at the SLC Championships in the 110m hurdles with a season-best time of 14.71… placed second in the 110m hurdles at the Cowboy Relays (15.01)… registered a personal-best 400m hurdles time of 55.79 at the Bobby Lane Invitational, placing seventh… finished 14^th in the prelims of the 400m hurdles at the SLC Championships (56.67). 
 
2012 Indoor Season: Took first place in the 55m hurdles at the McNeese Cowboy Indoor Invite with a season-best time of 7.85… tied his personal-best time of 8.38 in the prelims of the 60m hurdles at the SLC Championships… finished eighth at the SLC Championships in the 60m hurdles finals with a time of 8.95.
 
High School: Lettered in track four years, football three years and basketball one year… two-time state champion in the 100m hurdles, winning it with a 14.78 time his junior year and a 14.45 time his senior year… finished third in the state in the 300m as a junior… state-qualifier in the 300m hurdles his senior season… competed at regionals his freshman and sophomore seasons… member of the FFA.
 
Personal: Son of Terry and Martha Giddens… born Aug. 13, 1992… has two sisters, Blair, a dental hygienist, and Brianne, a nurse… majoring in criminal Justin with plans to become a Texas State Trooper.
