2012 Outdoor Season: Registered a personal-best javelin throw of 157-4 at the Southeastern Lion Invitational, placing 4th…recorded four top-10 finishes…placed 12th at the SLC Championships with a mark of 144-00.

High School:  Lettered in cross country and track three years... fifth place at district junior year with a throw of 138-0... and again fifth at district senior year with a throw of 148-0... coached by Don Groubert and Eddie Cole.

Personal:  Son of mary and Kevin Carpenter... one brother, Mark... born December 11, 1992... majoring in health and physical education... plans to teach health and physical education on the high school level... active member of the Kappa Alpha Order.
