• his 3 with 3:54 to go lifted Demons up to stay in SLC Tournament quarters win over SFA

• Texas Class 3A Finals Most Valuable Player as a senior
• scored 30 points, hitting 8 of 15 shots including 6 of 9 on 3-pointers, and sinking 8 of 10 free throws in a 73-54 state championship game romp over Midland Greenwood
• led Kountze to a 36-2 record as a senior, and an overall 131-16 mark in his four seasons while playing for coach Todd Sutherland
• started on three straight District 21-3A championship teams
• helped Kountze reach the 3A state finals as a freshman
• twice named first-team Class 3A All-State
• three-time All-Region selection
• three-time All-Super Gold team for the fabled Golden Triangle region

• averaged 19 points and 10 assists as a senior, when Kountze was ranked No. 1 in the state all year and its only two losses came to Class 5A teams -- no team in southeast Texas was more successful
• won the prestigious "Mr. Outside" honor at the annual James Gamble Basketball Awards in Port Arthur, honoring the memory of a four-time state champion coach and recognizing the top players in southeast Texas boys high school basketball

• averaged 23 points, 6 assists, 3 steals and 4 rebounds as a junior, when he was the district 21-3A co-MVP
