Notes on McConathy:

  • ranks 9th all-time in school history with 297 career assists (3.1 pg), would move to 6th if he matches last year's 124

  • posted 12 double-figure scoring games, leading NSU in points four times. He averaged 9.1 points in conference play
  • career-best 17 points propelled Demons to 11/21 win over Centenary at LSU tournament
  • matched career high with 8 asssits at McNeese (2/4)

In 2007-08:

  • started 16 of 33 games played, but only 2 in the SLC season, while posting modest 4.7 ppg, mostly as a point guard while playing 19.7 minutes pg
  • ninth in overall SLC stats, seventh in league play (3.63) in assists pg
  • His 82.3% overall FT aim would have ranked 4th in the SLC in all games, but he was one made FT shy of meeting the standard to be ranked. In SLC play only, he ranked 6th (81.0%) on FT aim. 
  • High scoring game of 15 at Texas Tech, had a pair of 13-point games in SLC contests, at McNeese and vs. Nicholls. Season high 8 assists in win over UTA.  
  • Hit 8-8 on FT at McNeese

  • season-best 4 steals helped spur incredible rally from 30-point deficit into lead in regular-season finale at Central Arkansas
  • his steal and behind-the-back assist to Jermaine Spencer for the dunk was No. 6 on SportsCenter’s Plays of the Day after the regionally-televised win at SFA
  • season-high 6 assists at Northwestern in Evanston, Ill.
  • scored from the floor in 7 of last 10 games
  • Among 13 players voted to the 2006-07 Academic All-SLC Team after posting a 3.76 grade point average

  • helped St. Mary’s reach the playoffs each of his four years for coaches Todd Matney, former Demon and N Club Hall of Fame member Tommy Mathis, and former Demon Stephen Burch

  • averaged 24 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals his senior year earning District MVP and 1st Team All Cenla and All State honors
