NATCHITOCHES—The Northwestern State soccer team is no stranger to finding players throughout the country to bring in.

After having nine states represented on the 2025 team this season, the Demons can add Michigan to the 2026 roster, as the team brings in defensive midfielder Addi Lehnertz to open the 2026 recruiting class.

"We are very excited to add Addison to Demonland," head coach Ian Brophy said. "She will fit right into the way we like to play with her intensity and aggression, but also her skill and grace on the ball. She certainly has the qualities to make an impact and be successful in college both on and off the field."

The Grand Rapids, Mich., product led Forest Hill Eastern High to an 11-5-2 mark this past Spring season.

She has clubbed for the Midwest United FC for the previous eight seasons.

Of the 24 players on this past season's roster, nine states were represented, as well as a pair of provinces in Canada. The states represented on the Demons roster were California, Florida, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Ohio, Virginia, Connecticut and Georgia.

Lehnertz aims to come in and help NSU make it a step further and reach the NCAA Tournament after the Demons claimed the outright regular season crown in 2025.
