LAKE CHARLES -- Due to near constant rainfall and lightning in the Lake Charles area, the Northwestern State and McNeese softball series opener scheduled for Thursday evening has been postponed.

The teams will still play their regularly scheduled Friday doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m., with the series finale now set for Saturday at 12 p.m.

This is the second time this season the Lady Demons have had a conference series effected by weather. The NSU home series with Lamar was pushed back a day four weeks ago.
