Associate head coach Adam Pennington's comments:
"He is an amazing kid who I have had the pleasure of coaching since I was at McNeese. My last six years with Landon have been a blessing. He's a kid who I wish could've had a better athletic career outcome, but his future outside of track and field is going to be special. Guys like Landon are the ones you build around. His character speaks for itself and I'll truly miss him."
