Distance coach Chris Sauer's comments:
"Brandon transferred here from Louisiana Tech and has made an instant impact on the program. Brandon's presence helped bridge the gap between the newcomers and the seniors. He is a great cross country runner and ran great in the regional meet. I am fortunate to have him. Before his arrival, we didn't have a lot of presence in the longer distance events. Brandon adds a different dimension to the program, as we now have more range and can compete in the 3000 and 5000 because most Louisiana kids are accustomed to run the 800 and the 1500 due to the way Louisiana schools are structured in their distance programs."
