BATON ROUGE—Bryan Lay and Aly Jo Warren each recorded outdoor personal bests in the pole vault, highlighting the final day of the Pelican Relays on the campus of Southern University.

Bryan Lay, a sophomore from Jonesboro, posted the best outdoor performance of his career.

The Quitman High product cleared 14-7.25 to win the event.

He was followed by teammate Maxwell Gautreau, who cleared 14-1.25 to come in second.

On the women's side, Aly Jo Warren also posted an outdoor personal best, clearing 11-9.75 to finish first in the pole vault.

Next up for NSU is a trip to California for the Mt. San Antonio College Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational.
