NATCHITOCHES – Wednesday's Northwestern State home softball game against No. 9 Louisiana-Lafayette has been cancelled at the Ragin' Cajuns' request, announced head coach Donald Pickett Tuesday afternoon.
 
UL-Lafayette coach Michael Lotief asked the game be cancelled and also committed to playing in Natchitoches during the 2015 season, said Pickett. 
 
The Lady Demons will hit the road this weekend for a three-game Southland Conference series at Central Arkansas beginning on Saturday at one o'clock.
 
NSU hosts conference newcomer Incarnate Word on April 18 at 1:00 to open its next home series.
