NATCHITOCHES – Due to rain, Sunday's Northwestern State softball Southland Conference game scheduled for noon with Sam Houston State has been cancelled.
 
The Bearkats took both games from the Lady Demons on Saturday to claim the series and the sweep.
 
NSU will host No. 20 Louisiana-Lafayette on Wednesday at six o'clock at the Lady Demon Diamond, and then head to Central Arkansas for a three-game conference series beginning on Saturday at 11:00 at Farris Field.
