                     NATCHITOCHES- Riding a seven-match win-streak, the Northwestern State tennis team hosts a pair of Southland Conference duals this weekend with league newcomer Incarnate Word on Saturday and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi on Sunday, both slated to begin at 11:00 at the Jack Fisher Tennis complex.
 
The Lady Demons (9-3 overall, 2-0 Southland Conference) gave up just two points in three matches last weekend, shutting out Oral Roberts on Saturday and picking up 6-1 wins over Central Arkansas and Arkansas Tech on Sunday.
 
The Cardinals (2-7, 0-1) head to Natchitoches for the first time while the Islanders (6-3, 0-0) look to bounce back from a 4-1 loss to NSU in the conference tournament championship match last season. The Lady Demons lead the all-time series 7-3.
 
UIW was shutout by fellow league newcomer Abilene Christian on Sunday after picking up two wins prior over the University of Texas-Tyler and Prairie View A&M.
 
The Islanders dropped a 4-0 decision to Texas-San Antonio on Wednesday and will make a stop at Stephen F. Austin on Saturday to kick-off their league season.
 
Northwestern State heads to Abilene Christian on Friday for a make-up match beginning at 10:30, and will take the remainder of the weekend off before hosting Stephen F. Austin March 29 at 11:00.
