BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – A day after a fifth-place finish in the long jump, Northwestern State freshman Emmanuel Williams fouled on all three attempts in the triple jump and did not place in that event at the 2012 USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Friday, he set a new personal record with a 24-0 ¼  in the long jump. That distance topped his previous best of 23-10 a month earlier at the Southland Conference Championships.
