The Lady Demons (1-4) are coming off a disappointing 84-80 loss to Loyola-New Orleans this past Friday night in a game that saw Wolfpack guard Keiva Council pour in a Prather Coliseum record 48 points in helping keep her team unbeaten on the season.
Prairie View, also 1-4 on the year and the reigning Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament champions, have dropped four straight after defeating Rice in the season opener and only other home game of the season.
Junior forward
Trudy Armstead is expected to be the main force on the floor for the Lady Demons. She leads the team in scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg) and has scored in double-digits all five games this season, including a 16 point, nine rebound outing against Loyola.
But not to be overlooked, sophomore guard
Jasmine Bradley, last season's freshman phenom, is doing her part to smother any sophomore slump. Bradley recorded her first double-double of the season against Loyola after she scored 17 points and pulled down 13 boards. She currently leads the Southland Conference with 3.4 steals per game – a number that ranks her 35
th in the nation.
Bradley ranks third on the team in scoring (9.4 ppg) and is second in rebounding (7.4 rpg).
Senior guard
Jordi James notched her third straight double-figure scoring game on Friday with 12 points. She ranks second on the squad in scoring with a 12.2 per game average.
Prairie View is coming off a 90-52 loss to Washington State and is led in scoring by Jeannette Jackson's 11.6 average.
Tuesday will be the sixth meeting between the two schools as NSU holds a 5-0 lead in the all-time series. The Lady Demons won 81-55 in the last outing back in the 2002-03 season.
