2009-10 Honors:  NSU Athletic Honor Roll, Gold (3.50-3.99), Spring 2010.

2009:  Team leader for the second straight season with 290 digs and a 3.33 per set average... with 663 career digs, looking to become a member of the elite players in school history to reach 1,000 in her career... recorded double digit digs in 16 matches and had a high of 23 digs at Southeastern Louisiana... recorded 21 digs both at home against SLU and at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

2008:  Led the team with 373 digs and a 3.81 dig per game average... her total number ranks as the ninth most for a Lady Demon in a single-season in school history... posted a career-high 36 digs against Tennessee-Martin... that ranks as the second most in school history in a match... had three 20-plus dig matches.

2007:  NSU’s first-ever All-American recruit but did not play due to an injury. 

Prior to NSU:  Played in 23 matches and 71 games as a member of the Texas A&M volleyball squad… was second on the team with 238 digs and fifth with 11 service aces.

High School:  Earned Hitter of the Year honors as a junior to go along with first team All-District 15-5A honors at Cedar Park High School… named Dazzling Dozen, team MVP, All-Centex first team and first team All-Williamson County, all as a junior… as a senior, named the district 15-5A and team MVP, was a high school All-American, All-Centex first team and first team All-Williamson County… team won district championship as a junior and senior… played high school ball with fellow Lady Demon Megan Dockery… earned academic All-District honors, Medical Passport, and Texas Scholars… member of HOSA and PALS.

Personal:  Born January 18, 1988… only daughter of Kristine Castillo… majoring in accounting.
