Biography
Before Northwestern State: A graduate from Creascenta Valley High School, Carrie graduated with an impressive 3.5 GPA. Lettered in both volleyball, 3 years, and softball, 4 years. Made the second team on the volleyball court in 1990. Will see plenty of action next spring on the softball field.
Coach McCalister on Carrie: "Carrie will be busy playing on both volleyball this fall and softball next spring.
About Carrie: The daughter of Aubrey and Barbara Shirley, Carrie will turn 19 this next February 24. Carrie is the youngest in the family and the only daughter with three older brothers. Carrie apparently has some Southerner in her earning the nickname of "Tex" by her teammates.
