Biography
Coach Uffelman on Robichau: “Markie has suffered with the same injury for the past two seasons, but with time off this summer, hopefully she will be fully recovered and rejuvenated to help lead our team to be one of the top contenders in our conference.”
2008: Finished second on the team with 221 kills and a 2.26 kill per set average... hit .133 on the season with 126 errors in 714 attempts - second most on the team... also ranked second with 262 digs for a 2.67 average and was second with 74 blocks, including 32 solos... posted six double-doubles, had nine double-digit kill matches and 16 double-digit dig matches... posted career highs with total blocks (7) and solo blocks (5) in the season opener against Tennessee-Martin.
2007: Ranked fourth on the team with 226 kills and a 2.31 per game average... was second on the squad with 268 digs and a third with a 2.73 per game mark... had nine double-digit kill matches and 14 double-digit digs matches... posted six double-doubles... had a season-best 23 kills and 23 digs in NSU’s win over Texas-Arlington in the first round of the Southland Conference Tournament... played and started in all 27 matches and 98 games.
Prior to NSU: Played her freshman season at perennial Division II power Henderson State and legendary coach Rhonda Thigpen, playing in 10 matches and 28 games before suffering a season-ending injury… had 18 kills and eight digs to go along with 14 blocks.
High School: First-team all-district honors as a senior and the Coach’s Award recipient as a junior and senior at Pflugerville High School… also twice named to an all-tournament team her senior season… a member of the FCA… also lettered in softball.
Personal: Born 3/5/88… daughter of Michael and Cheryl Robichau… one brother, Logun… majoring in psychology at NSU and has plans of going into addiction therapy.
