Biography
Coach Uffelman on Henriques: “Lu has been fully released this summer after red-shirting last season because of a shoulder injury. She will bring depth to our setting position as she works her way back onto the volleyball court after a year off.”
2008: Redshirted.
2007: Played in 13 matches and 32 games setting up 252 assists... also had 19 kills and 59 digs... had one double-double with 47 assists and 11 digs against Louisiana-Monroe... had a career-high 50 assists against Lamar.
Prior to NSU: Earned all-conference honorable mention honors after playing at Cloud Community College… teammate of fellow Lady Demon Angelica Cruz… played club volleyball for Sparta Volley Club earning a spot on the all-tournament team while garnering academic honors.
Personal: Born 1/7/86… daughter of Neide Almeida and Denio Henriques… one sister Naiara… majoring in physical therapy.
