2003: Season cut short due to an injury...Played in 19 matches, starting 11...Led the team in hitting with a .275 mark until sidelined...Had 95 kills for a 1.79 per game average with 1.06 per game...Third on the team with 48 block assists in the shortened season...Recorded double-figures in kills in four matches, getting a carer-high 13 spikes against Eastern Kentucky on Aug. 30...Hit .600 and had 10 kills vs Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sept. 5...Also had 10 kills against UALR on Aug. 29...Had 11 kills at Texas State on Sept. 26.
2002: Did not play.
High School: Came to NSU as a middle player who could be very good once she develops at Division 1 level...Graduated from Glen Oaks HS in Baton Rouge, where she was a three-year letterwinner for coach Nelson Malpica...Was named first team all-district and all-metro as both a junior and senior...Also lettered in basketball for four years under coach Walker Charles, and was a two-year track letterwinner...Graduated with honors from Glen Oak High School.
Personal: Born on March 21, 1984...Daughter of Baxter and Enola Sanders...has two brothers, Termaine (22) and Baxter Jr. (19) and one sister, Kayla (14)...majoring in nursing, she plans to be a registered nurse upon graduation.
