At NSU: Saw action in all 25 matches and earned a starter's role for the last half of the season...Led Southland Conference in service ace percentage last season acing opponents 46 times...Managed to put down 90 kills while recording 213 digs, third best on the team...Looks to solidify a spot in the starting six this season.

Pre-NSU: A Carencro High School product, she helped the Lady Bears to state playoff berths her freshman and sophomore seasons...Was an All-District and All-Acadiana selection...Dont look for her to do any renditions of Peaches and Herb, but she is reunited with former high school teammates Janice Graham and Michelle Guidry who are Lady Demon teammates. 

Personal: Full name is Kelly Ann Fontenot...Turned 19 last Jan 21...Daughter of Mr. and Mrs Burnell Fontenot...A two sport performer for McCalister as she spent most of her spring flagging down fly balls in right field for Lady Demon softball team, earning a spot on the All-Southland Tournament team.
