High School: Lettered two years in volleyball at Katy High School...Was a Junior Olympic qualifier under head coach Llana Gombert...As a senior, led her team to area and bi-district championships...She also earned first team All-District honors during that season...Graduated in 1999 from KHS with an astounding 4.2 overall GPA, which ranked in the top 10% of her senior class...Was a member of numerous clubs such as the National Honor Society, Geography Club, Red Cross Club, National Charity League, and Spanish Club, serving as junior and senior executive...Was also a member of the KHS Student Council...Three previous teammates have played volleyball at the Division I-A level: Brittney Miller at the University of Tampa, Lisa Klam at Texas A&M, and Melissa Trevino at Sam Houston State.
