2015 Season:
• Started two matches and appeared in seven as a defender.
• Started against Alcorn State and Central Arkansas, playing a total of 132 minutes.
• Played a season-high 31 minutes against UL Lafayette with three other matches over 20 minutes.
• Attempted two shots with none on goal.
• Part of a defense that improved against goals against average nearly one goal from 2014, posting a 1.42 this season.
2014 Season
• Appeared in four games as a junior.
• Played a total of 47 minutes.
• Had a season-high 27 minutes against McNeese State. Played 17 minutes in a team shutout of Jackson State (6-0 win).
• Took her lone shot against ULM.
2013 Season:
• Appeared in five games for 111 minutes.
• Was on the field for three shutouts (Jackson State, Prairie View A&M, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi).
• Played 40 minutes in a 1-0 win over Jackson State.
2012 Season:
• Saw time in 12 matches with two starts.
• Made a large impact with her speed and ball handling skills out on the flank.
• Spent 438 minutes on the field.
High School:
• Captain of the JV team for the Allen Eagles and finished first place in the Winter Classic as a freshman.
• Won the 2009 CASL Showcase bracket and Texas Cup Showcase bracket as a junior.
• Played for the Sting Royal ’94 Division I and the Allen HS varsity team.
• Lettered in soccer for two years.
• She played both midfielder and defender.
• Has become popular for putting headers in the goal.
Personal:
• Daughter John and Frances Pena.
• Sister of Stepehen and the late Andrew.
• Parents created a charity in honor of Andrew called the Andrew Pena Memorial Optimist Club. The family has given away over $50,000 to scholarship recipients and local charities.
• Majoring in psychology.
• Wants to start her own psychology practice and help others based on the life experiences of her family.
• Member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
