Kelly Wright

Kelly Wright is in her second season as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in the Northwestern State sports medicine department.

After two seasons with volleyball, Wright will pick up soccer this spring.

Wright comes to Natchitoches from Albion College where she earned her undergraduate degree in athletic training in May.

A member of Albion’s women’s soccer team and a Dean’s List student, Wright was a student athletic trainer at her alma mater, working with football, men’s and women’s lacrosse and men’s basketball. She spent the winter of 2015 as a student athletic trainer at Marshall (Michigan) High School, working with the boys and girls basketball teams as well as swimming and wrestling.

Wright completed an athletic training internship at Novi (Michigan) High School where she worked with basketball, softball and boys and girls lacrosse.

A four-year soccer letter winner at Albion, Wright was an NCAA Division III scholar athlete throughout her career and graduated with a 3.66 grade point average.

While at Albion, Wright chaired the Athletic Training Club, was awared the Charlotte Duff Outstanding Athletic Training Student Prize and was a member of Phi Epsilon Kappa and Alpha Phi Omega.

Wright holds an MATS certification and is Red Cross CPR and first aid certified. She also is a certified lifeguard.
