Biography

2012 Season: Competed in all seven meets for the Lady Demons...registered three top-10 performances...finished fifth at the ULM Warhawk Invitational, completing the 5000m course in 22:00....placed sixth at the NSU Invitational (6000m, 25:52) and the Demon Invite (3 mile, 19:02.1)...was the second runner for NSU at the SLC Championships, running the 6000m course in 23:16.4 and placing 32nd. 

2011 Season: Competed in the McNeese 6k XC Relay, finishing the 6000m course in 23:08 with teammate Shana Lee and placing 19th...redshirted the rest of the season.

2010 Season: Named the Southland Conference Female Athlete of Week (9/21/10) and Cross Country Athlete of the Week (10/5/10)…opened the season at the Stephen F. Austin Invitational with a team best 7:40/7:54 finished in the Women’s 2K x 2…led the Lady Demon squad with first-place finishes in the Louisiana Tech Mook 4 Invitational (15:57) and the NSU Invitational (23:33.5)….Placed 3rd at the NSU Demon Invitational with a time of 19:11.47…completed the season with a time of 24:47 at the SLC Championships.

2009 Season: Place in the top 10 in every meet during the cross country season with first place finishes at the NSU and Centenary Invitationals... placed 44th at the SLC Championships.

High School: Lettered all four years in basketball, track and cross-country... Won track district and regional championships before a runner-up finish at state... Made the playoffs in basketball and recorded district, regional and state championships in track as a sophomore... District runner-ups in basketball junior season while winning district and regionals in track... first-team all district in basketball with an All-State honorable mention... Senior year, basketball and cross country district champions... second-team All-District and won the state championship in the one and two mile races... runner-up in the 800m.

Personal: Born March 25, 1989...the daughter of Khristy and Dennis Ellis and has one sister, Kyleigh Ellis... majoring in Health and Exercise Sciences.
