Biography

2012 Season: Competed in all seven meets for the Lady Demons...recorded three top-10 performances...finished fifth at the NSU Invitational with a 6000m time of 25:22...placed seventh at the Demon Invite, finishing the 3 mile course in 19:11.7...finished eighth at the ULM Warhawk Invitation with a 5000m time of 22:43...registered a personal-best 6000m time of 23:33.9 at the SLC Championships, placing 38th. 

2011 Season: Competed in all seven meets for the Lady Demons...registered four top-10 performances...finished second at the Demon Invitational, completing the 3 mile course in 19:19.6...grabbed a third place finish at the NSU Invitational, running the 6000m course in 24:18.5...placed sixth at the La Tech Mook 4 (4400m, 18:51) and the Centenary Invitational (6000m, 24:00.2)...recorded a personal-best 6000m time of 23:58.7 at the SLC Championships, placing 57th. 

2010 Season: Placed sixth at the NSU Invitational for her best finish of the season (24:51.6)…recorded her best time at the SFA Invitational where she picked a time of 16:19 on the 2K x 2 race course… ran seventh at the Louisiana Tech Mook 4 Invitational, where she covered the 4,000-meter course in 17:07… posted a 10th place finish (25:00) at the Centenary College Invitational and at the NSU Demon Invitational (19:11.47) for her 4th top 10 finish of the season.

2009 Season: Had a fourth place finish at the Centenary Invitational and second at the NSU meet... second Lady Demon to finish at the SLC Championships with an overall place of 55th.

High School: Lettered in soccer, cross country and track in her high school career... track team finished third at state in freshman, sophomore and junior seasons... Won the state championship senior year... In her freshman year, took home eighth place in her individual contest... improved the next two seasons, finishing seventh her junior season and sixth in her final year at St. Joseph's.

Personal: Born Dec. 18, 1990...daughter of Darla and Blaine Fontenot...has one brother, Evan...majoring in Health and Exercise Sciences and plans to graduate in 2013.
