Named Southland Conference Freshman of the Year ... played in and started all 32 games as a freshman ... averaged 13.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, ranking second and first on the team, respectively ... her 444 total points and 220 rebounds both finished third in school history in those categories for a freshman ... her 17 blocks were second on the team ... recorded 15 consecutive games in double figures in scoring ... scored in double figures in 25 of the 32 games overall ... posted a career night against New Orleans (Jan. 16), scoring 29 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, as well as recording three steals ... she followed that up with 21 points against Southeastern Louisiana (Jan. 18) ... those games earned her Southland Conference Player of the Week ...posted six double-doubles during the season, placing in the top 10 nationally for double-doubles by a freshman ... posted a double-double with 17 points and a season-high 14 rebounds against eventual SLC Tournament champion Stephen F. Austin (Feb. 15) ... also posted double-doubles at Southeastern Louisiana (Feb. 20), at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Jan. 9), at Lamar (Jan. 27) and vs. East Texas A&M (March 5) ... scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win at UNO (Feb. 22), 19 points and nine boards against Houston Christian (March 1) and 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting in the SLC Tournament victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (March 10).

High School
Three-time all-district player at John D. Horn High School with more than 1,000 career points and 700 rebounds...averaged more than 6.0 rebounds per game in each of her three prep seasons before a career-best 16.1 points and 7.4 rebounds as a senior...her additional 1.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 35 percent shooting effort from beyond the arc in her senior season earned her district MVP honors...earned first-team academic all-district honors three times in her career...also competed on the track and field team in the shot put and discus during her senior season..was a member of the leadership council and National Honor Society and on the honor roll.

Also goes by Vee..daughter of Helen and Andrew Atamah...has three siblings, brothers Andrew Jr. and Axavier and sister Alicia...majoring in computer information systems...plans to use her degree to start a business and help develop newer and better technology...ambition is to play professional basketball and start a tech business to, "better the lives of people around me and around the world.".
