Godsey has spent the last two seasons at the University of Montevallo (Ala.) serving as assistant coach and interim head coach. Before Montevallo, she worked at Belhaven University, Southern Mississippi, and North Alabama.
The Rogersville, Ala., native played for North Alabama from 2004-08 and played in 104 games, scored 385 points along with 214 assists, 185 rebounds, and had 89 steals.
In her time at Montevallo, Godsey spent most of the 2010-11 season as the interim head coach taking over six games into the season. She led the Falcons to their first-ever appearance in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. They fell to eventual Division II national champion Clayton State University.
While serving as interim head coach she was in charge of all phases of the women's basketball program, which included compliance documentation, budget maintenance, marketing, fundraising, workouts, and practices.
As an assistant in the 2011-12 season, she helped the Falcons reach the Peach Belt Conference Tournament, their second straight appearance.
Godsey began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Southern Mississippi where she was on the same staff as Brooke Stoehr At USM she coordinated film exchange and breakdown, opponent scouting, clinics and camps, and directed on-campus recruiting visits.
After USM, she went on to serve as assistant coach and compliance director at Belhaven, helping coordinate all areas of recruiting and scouting.
While at Belhaven she recruited two Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year winners, two NAIA All-Americans, and one SSAC All-Freshman Team member.
Godsey is a 2008 graduate of North Alabama with a degree in English and a received a master's from USM in Sport Management in 2009.
