    Julie Goza is in her second season as a graduate assistant for the Northwestern State Sports Medicine staff and will be the primary athletic trainer for the Lady Demon basketball team for the second straight year.

    A 2010 graduate of Texas Lutheran, Goza earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training while working with football, women’s track and field, men’s soccer, and softball.  She was also in a rotation to be the athletic trainer for high school athletics.

    The Converse, Texas native and graduate of Judson High School, Goza is the daughter of Marke and Debbie Goza, and has one brother, David (26), who is a theatre tech teacher at Burleson High School in Texas.

    At Judson, Goza earned honor roll status and also played soccer.

    She’s working towards her master’s degree at NSU with a concentration in health promotion and would like to work with a women’s soccer team at the college or professional levels.
