1985-86:  Most pleasant surprise a year ago ... could be called "Clara Jean the Rebounding Machine" after her performance in 1985-86 ... forced into starting role when Gussie Leonard left school and Linda Grayson was redshirted ... her 227 rebounds led the team and were the 11h most over the course of a season in Lady Demon history ... 7.1 rebounds per game average tied her for 12th best average in school history ... had six rebounds in two games, seven boards in five contests, eight rebounds in five games, nine boards in two games, eleven rebounds once, a dozen rebounds in tow contests, thirteen on another occasions ... finished the year as the fifth leading rebounder in the Gulf Star and is third among all 1986-87 returners ... only NSU player last year to average more rebounds per game (7.1) than points (6.5) .. only player to better the 50% mark from the field (50.8) and is club's leading returning field goal percentage shooter ... 27 blocked shots were fourth i the Gulf Star Conference last year and led squad ... closed out season with extremely strong rebounding (16) and scoring (17) performance vs. Idaho in WNIT championship game (3-22-86) ... in double figures ten times ... in final three games a year ago, compiled 35 rebounds (11.7 rpg) and 34 points (11.3) while shooting 59% (13 of 22) from the floor ... scoring average increased (7.1) in conference games while rebounding average (6.7) went down

Before NSU:  First Junior College player ever signed by the Lady Demons ... led Tyler to National JUCO Tournament last year .. size should help out underneath ... outstanding prep athlete who lettered in two sports, basketball (four letters) and track (three letters) ... basketball district runner-up her junior and senior years .. played in the state all star game after her senior year at Ferriday ... Davis made the all-district teams each of those seasons .. track career includes participation in the 440 and 880 relays, along with the 100 and 200 yard dashes ... all-district in track for four years ... won the state championship in the 220 yard dash

High School: Won seven letters as a prep, including four in basketball and three in track ... basketball team placed second in district both her junior and senior seasons as she made all district both years ... played in state high school all-star game following her senior season ... all district track performer who won state 220 yard championship
