Corey Fletcher

Corey Fletcher (MSAT, LAR, ATC, RDN) joined the Northwestern State athletic training staff in July of 2023 and will serves as the primary athletic trainer for the softball program.
 
A native of Bossier, Fletcher holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Central Arkansas and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Northwestern State, graduating Cum Laude. 

While at Central Arkansas, Johnson worked with the Bears football, volleyball, women’s soccer and baseball teams. She utilized Presagia (InjuryZone) software as a means of tracking sports injuries at UCA, completed baseline concussion testing on student-athletes and developed various rehabilitation programs for athletes under her watch. 

 
Her clinical strengths include injury evaluation and management, emergency care, concussion testing and education, manual therapy techniques, rehabilitation program development, and dry needling. She is committed to preventive care, including heat illness management, arm care, and ankle stability programs. Corey values interdisciplinary collaboration and has worked closely with physicians, orthopedic specialists, and physical therapists to ensure the best outcomes for her athletes.

She continues to support the health and performance of collegiate athletes while mentoring student workers and interns while here at NSU. She is licensed in both Arkansas and Louisiana, BOC certified, dry needling certified, and holds additional certifications in CPR, COVID-19 contact tracing, and mental health training.

In January 2025, Corey married her husband Thomas Fletcher, an Airman in the US Airforce.
