Brandon Lamphier-Shaffer is entering his second semester as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach and his first season with softball.

Lamphier-Shaffer is the primary strength coach for softball, soccer, cross country and women’s basketball since late January of 2019.

He came to Natchitoches in July after spending the spring of 2018 as an intern at Yale. Lamphier-Shaffer was involved in football, a national champion men’s lacrosse team, field hockey and volleyball.

Lamphier-Shaffer also has experience with the Warriors’ Baseball Club (youth baseball) in Hampshire, Illinois, and Psychosomatic Fitness in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a strength and conditioning specialist, has American Red Cross certification in first aid/CPR and is a certified personal trainer by the National Council of Strength and Fitness.

Lamphier-Shaffer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports management at Indiana Wesleyan in 2017 after obtaining an associate of science and Lamar Community College in 2015.Â
