Senior Season 2014: Batted second in 34 games and played in 51 games as NSU’s starting second baseman … finished fourth on squad with .341 average and 31 RBIs … ranked first on team in sacrifice flies (3), second in walks walks (20) and third in hits (46) … 12 multi-hit games for NSU … eight multiple-RBI games … reached base in 13 consecutive games … recorded a hit nine straight games … went 2-for-2 leading NSU with three RBIs in SLC Championship win over McNeese State on May 11 … went 4-for-6 contributing eight runs over three games in the SLC tournament … posted a season-high four RBIs in 2-for-4 performance against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on March 15... All-Southland Conference Second Team... SLC All-Tournament Team, 2B... Southland Confernece All-Academic Softball Team, second team selection... named to the SLC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Junior Season (2013): Appeared in 54 games, starting 53 at second base…finished the season with a .305 average, 46 hits including three doubles and one triple, and 19 RBI…made her hits count in a time of need, especially when she drove in the winning runs in the top of the seventh with two outs for the SLC tournament championship title game over Sam Houston…her performance in the bottom of the ninth in the regular season finale with Sam Houston allowed the Lady Demons to clinch the No. 2 seed in the Conference tournament…hit safely in six straight games from 4/10 to 4/20…earned All-Southland Honorable Mention.
Sophomore Season (2012): Appeared in 47 games, starting 46…stepped up to the plate 119 times…put the ball into play 38 times, including seven doubles and one triple…went three-for-four against SFA including a RBI single in the first to score NSU’s first run of the game…named 2012 Pre-Season All-Southland Conference First Team at second base…earned All-Southland Conference honorable mention.
Freshman Season: Cali made a statement in her freshman season by being named to the 2011 All-Louisiana Collegiate Softball Team, and the 2011 All-Southland Conference Second Team leading the nine-member freshman class with a .302 batting average (team second-best), 16 RBI and nine doubles…..Cali held a 10-game hit streak for over three weeks against Texas-Arlington, Louisiana Tech, Southeastern Louisiana, Central Arkansas, No. 23 Louisiana-Lafayette and Nicholls…she also recorded 13 multiple-hit games with two 3-hit games against Centenary (Feb. 18) and Southeastern Louisiana (April 16)… in the 1-0 NSU rubber match over SLU, Cali delivered what proved to be the game-winning RBI single to help the Lady Demons match its season victory total from a year ago with 11 games remaining…made the starting lineup in all but one game on the schedule…. recorded four multi-RBI games including three RBIs against .....picked up two stolen bases in three attempts and a .963 fielding percentage.
At Horn HS: Lettered in softball all four years and two years in swimming…softball team made playoff appearances four consecutive years, making their highest appearance in the fourth round during her senior year… Named to the 2nd Team All-District as a freshman and 1st Team All-District and All- Academic team during last three years of high school…participated in Student Council and Americrew…selected to the National Honors Society and graduated with a 3.7 grade point average.

Cali Briana Burke…eldest daughter of Richard and Cheri Burke with two sisters, Addi and Meli….father is the vice-president at IntegraColor, a visual communications company…. both sisters followed Cali’s footsteps and also play softball….majoring in psychology and Addiction Studies with a 3.3 grade point average…member of Psy Chi…her career goal involves getting her master’s degree in school psychology.
