Rey Corona arrives at Northwestern State after five years with East Texas A&M University, where he built a reputation for dependable operations support and player development in men’s basketball.

A graduate assistant in facilities and the program’s head student manager, Corona handled daily practice setup, equipment placement, laundry, and printed practice plans for staff and training. He scheduled practices using Synergy Sports MyArena and prepared film when needed. 

On game days, he organized lockers, staged player gear, and supported scouting preparation. He also coordinated road trip details, managed team meals and pickups, and collaborated with marketing on game promotions. 

He produced post-season highlight tapes for players and the team.

Corona supported player development before and after practices, working alongside assistant coaches. 

He contributed to opponent and self-scouting with Hudl Sportscode, Synergy Sports, and FastModel Scouts. His toolbox includes Canva and iMovie for video and graphics.

Corona holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Studies with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies. 

He is pursuing a Master of Science in Health and Human Performance.
