Ike Dillon is in his first season as Northwestern State’s director of basketball operations, having joined the staff in July.
Dillon comes to Natchitoches after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant at Lamar where he helped the Cardinals reach the Southland Conference Tournament champion game in 2025. At Lamar, Dillon also was involved with opponent scouting, film review, player development and on-campus recruiting.
In Dillon’s first season at Lamar, the Cardinals produced the first 20-win season since the 2018-19 campaign.
Prior to his two years at Lamar, Dillon spent three seasons as a student manager at Minnesota where he worked with NBA draftee Cam Christie (Los Angeles Clippers) and NBA free agent signees Jamison Battle (Toronto Raptors) and Dawson Garcia (Detroit Pistons). Dillon also was a part of a 2023-24 Golden Gopher squad that advanced to the second round of the postseason NIT.
A 2024 Minnesota graduate in finance, Dillon earned his master’s degree in business leadership from Lamar in May 2026.
