Gary Ashowrth is in his first season as a graduate assistant at Northwestern, coming to the NSU staff from Arkansas College. Ashworth was an assistant at Arkansas College to Dwain Roark, now the assistant coach for the Demons.
Ashworth was a prep player at Oakdale High School in South Louisiana and attended John Brown University in Arkansas. Ashworth played basketball at John Brown for four years and was All-NAIA District 17 as a senior. Ashworth also won numerous honors as a prep.
Following his playing career Ashwoth received his bachelor's degree in physical education from Arkansas College and is now working on his master's in physical education at Northwester.
