Former Howard College assistant coach Aaron Patrick enters his second season as a graduate manager with the Northwestern State men’s basketball program.
After completing a four-year career at Mount Aloysius College, Patrick spent the past three seasons as an assistant at Howard, a junior college in Big Spring, Texas.
While at Howard, Patrick was responsible for coordinating school and home visits between coaches, players and families, scouting all conference opponents, developing and implementing practice and game plans, supervising team academics and developing film edits, breakdowns and analysis.
In addition to coaching at Howard, Patrick has extensive experience in camp settings, working events at Virginia Commonwealth (VCU) and St. Bonaventure as well as serving as Howard’s camp director where he coordinated the Hawk Maniac Fun Night.
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Patrick was a four-year letterman at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania. While at Mount Aloysius, Patrick set a school record for single-season 3-point percentage (.541) and was a four-year member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s All-Academic Team.
During his college career, Patrick was an AllState NABC Good Works Team honoree and received the NABC Honors Court Award for his academic work and off-the-court character.
Patrick, a 2014 Mount Aloysius College graduate in middle level education, currently is pursuing a master’s degree in sport administration from Northwestern State.
