BEFORE NSU earned All-District honors in all four years and All-State every year but his freshman season at Pineview High School team won state championship with a 32-7 mark his sophomore season finished the year with the best field goal percentage on the team led team in rebounding as a junior as team finished 27-11 and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs as a senior, averaged 18 pts, 9 reb and 2.3 steals per game team finished 28-9 and advanced to the state quarterfinals led team in rebounding and field goal shooting as a senior member of the National Honor Society graduated with a 3.4 grade point average
