Trent Earley is in his first year as defensive graduate assistant for the Northwestern State football program where he will assist with linebackers. Earley spent last season as the outside linebackers coach and assistant recruiting coordinator at Oklahoma Baptist University. With Earley’s assistance, the first-year program paved the recruiting trail as his first two signees garnered All-American honors.

Prior to OBU, Earley coached linebackers and defensive linemen at Southern Arkansas, where he was also a two-year starter before moving in to a graduate assistant role.

Earley has a bachelor of science degree in sports management from Southern Arkansas. He also played two years at Texas Southern, a top 25 defense.

He attended Lufkin High School (Lufkin, Texas) where he played baseball, basketball and football. On the gridiron, Earley made the All-District team in 2006 while helping the Panthers to a 39-3 record over three years.
