Peyton Cox

A two-year letterman at Ole Miss, Peyton Cox begins his coaching career as Northwestern State’s tight ends coach after joining the staff in spring 2022. In addition to working with the Demons’ tight ends, Cox will assist recruiting the north Louisiana and central Texas areas.

Cox lettered in 2018 and 2019 for the Rebels, part of a five-year playing career in which he was awarded the Park Stevens Memorial Scholarship, which is given to the top walk-on in the program in honor of Stevens, a walk-on offensive lineman who died in a car accident in 2013.

Cox was part of two bowl teams at Ole Miss, reaching the Outback Bowl and Allstate Sugar Bowl.

An offensive lineman from New Orleans who prepped at Jesuit High School, Cox was a two-time member of both the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll and the Ole Miss Athletic Directors Honor Roll.

In addition to landing on the 2018-19 Dean’s Honor Roll, Cox was named Ole Miss’ Student-Athlete of the Month for January 2019.

A two-sport letterman at Jesuit who helped lead the Blue Jays to a state football championship in 2015, Cox is a 2021 graduate of Ole Miss, earning his undergraduate degree in sports recreation and management.
