    Offensive Line Graduate Assistant Coach
Kendrioun Boatman, an All-American while playing for coach Blaine McCorkle at Belhaven, has joined his former coach’s first Northwestern State staff as an administrative graduate assistant.

Boatman will assist with the NSU offensive line after a standout career at Belhaven where he became the school’s first player to earn first-team All-American honors, doing so as an offensive lineman in 2023.

That honor capped a standout career for Boatman, who participated in both the FCS and Tropical bowls following his senior season. Boatman earned a spot on the Conerly Trophy watch list to start the year. The Conerly Trophy is given to the top college football player in Mississippi regardless of level.

A member of the Belhaven Leadership Council, Boatman was a second-team all-region selection and a first-team All-USA South Conference pick as Belhaven captured the first conference championship in program history. He anchored an offensive line that led the way for an offense that averaged 35.8 points and 429.5 yards of total offense per game.

Boatman was a team captain in both 2022 and 2023 and was a preseason All-American in 2023. In the spring of 2023, the Belhaven program honored him with the Luke 2:52 Award for leadership.

That followed a 2022 season in which Boatman was a first-team all-conference and second-team all-region selection while serving on the team leadership council.

During his playing career, Boatman jump started his coaching career as part of a work study program with the Belhaven coaching staff. He also has volunteered two years with the Dak Prescott Mississippi State Football Camp.

A first-team all-conference selection as a sophomore in 2021, Boatman graduated magna cum laude from Belhaven with an undergraduate degree in sports management. A five-time academic all-conference selection and the owner of a 3.89 grade point average, Boatman was named the 2021 American Southwest Conference Distinguished Football Scholar Athlete of the Year for Belhaven and was part of the 2024 National Football Foundation’s Hampshire Honor Society.

He is pursuing a master’s degree in sport administration at Northwestern State.
