Jared Smith enters his first season as an administrative graduate assistant on the Northwestern State staff.
Smith will assist Jake Olsen with the Northwestern State safeties.
Smith played collegiately at Grambling during the 2014 season before becoming a student assistant coach at UL Lafayette.
While with the Ragin’ Cajuns, Smith assisted with recruiting tours, official visits, scouting and film breakdown while working under wide receivers coach Jorge Munoz.
He started and operated the Cajuns’ football team’s Snapchat account.
A 2018 graduate of UL Lafayette, Smith is pursuing a master’s degree in health and human performance at Northwestern State.
