Daley Sallis is in his first year as a graduate assistant with the Northwestern State football program.
Prior to NSU, Sallis spent one season as an assistant coach at Lebanon High School (Lebanon, Tenn.) where he also played quarterback for the Blue Devils.
Sallis played football at Cumberland University where he was named a Mid-South Conference Scholar-Athlete three times and an Academic All-American twice while seeing time at Quarterback, Wide Receiver and special teams.
He played his freshman season at Rhodes College, earning Academic All-Conference honors.
In high school, Sallis was a three year starter at Quarterback for coach Bobby Brown’s Blue Devils. He lead the program to the playoffs twice and ranked third in career rushing touchdowns.
He is the son of Randy and Gail Sallis and is currently engaged to Sarah Morgan of Lebanon, TN. His brother, Kenny, played football with him at LHS and Cumberland. Sallis' mother played on state championship softball team at local Converse High School and his uncle, Don Ashworth, played basketball for the Northwestern State Demons in the 1960s.
