Brian Gallagher is in his second full season with the Northwestern State strength and conditioning staff.
Gallagher took on a larger role on the Demons staff for much of the 2015-16 academic year as NSU changed head strength and conditioning coaches. He spent the summer of 2016 as an intern with the Olympic sports strength and conditioning staff at the University of Texas.
Gallagher, a two-time Academic All-American Southwest Conference selection, played four seasons at UMHB from 2010-13 and spent the 2014 season as a student assistant coach for the Crusaders. As a coach, Gallagher coached tight ends and assisted with the football strength and conditioning program.
Gallagher also worked as an intern with the TCU strength and conditioning program in 2014. He arrived in Natchitoches during the Spring 2015 semester.
As a senior, Gallagher was a member of the Mary-Hardin Baylor football team’s Leadership Council.
Gallagher, a Fort Worth, Texas, native, completed his bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science from Mary-Hardin Baylor in 2014.
He is pursuing a master’s degree in health and human performance.
