Ben Baker is in his second year in the Northwestern State athletic department and his first with the Demons football team.
 
Baker spent the 2014-15 academic year as an athletic facilities and game operations graduate assistant while pursuing a master’s degree in health and human performance.
 
Baker, a Fall 2013 sport management graduate of Central Michigan, moved into his current role assisting with football operations and player personnel in May. He assists in the day-to-day operations of the program and is responsible for management of video operations, including film exchange and data analysis.
 
As an undergraduate at Central Michigan, Baker spent three years as a student manager, rising to the level of head student manager. He assisted Chippewas assistant head coach Kyle Nystrom by running drills, calling personnel and running the scout team.
 
While at Central Michigan, Baker worked with NFL players Nick Bellore (San Francisco), Jahleel Addae (San Diego) and 2015 sixth-round draft pick L.T. Walton (Pittsburgh).
 
Baker was part of the 2012 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl champions and worked with 2013 No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick Eric Fisher.
 
Baker spent the Fall 2013 semester as a football operations intern with Central Michigan, which involved him in all aspects of recruiting and travel coordination. In that capacity, Baker also was responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the football program and lent assistance to video breakdown of recruits and opponents.
